Dreams do come true is a phrase most commonly applied to pleasant dreams But for Detective Julie Carter it is the stuff of nightmares Her husband is killed a former lover reenters her life and her family and daughter are faced with terrible dangerFrom sci fi to film noir and now to mysterysuspense KG Stutts broadens her genre palate while remaining consistent with all her writing strengths As usual her female protagonists are strong leads the driving force of the story rather than the objectivegoal of the hero and the object of obsession of the villain The book is short enough to read in one sitting yet just long enough to keep the reader from getting bored It has a self contained feel with things wrapping up nicely perhaps too nicely while setting up for the possibility of a seuelA fun read for those into mysteries and romance with a hint of the supernatural

Julie has dreams Everyone has dreams But hers is always in gray and white Except for one major color that stands out vividly Usually they are innocent But this one has been anything but It is harsh and scary Julie doesn't know how to deal with it She has a wonderful husband and great friends They listen but are at a loss as to what is causing the dream and how to help her cope Will it come true? She prays not The color in her dream is red As in blood Yes it is her husbands blood She has worked on the police force since before they were married But there is no reason for anyone to want to murder Aiden She has enemies but most are still in prison dead or reformed Her daughter Mira is only a child Why is she in the dream? Why would anyone want to hurt her? Most importantly who is behind it all? Julie is a strong woman and good at her job She will get through this and protect her family There are many secrets to uncover and Julie will uncover them But at what cost? Will she gain than she stands to lose? I will be looking for a follow up book as I read this one all in one setting

Julie is a police officer that is married to Aiden also a police officer Julie has been having a bad dream for the last few nights She dreams that Aiden I going to be killed When she dreams in black and white with just one color she knows that the dream will come true We uickly learn that her dreams are correct and Aiden is killed The detective that is assigned to find out who murdered Aiden is her ex lover Eventually we find out who the killer is and the convoluted way we get there I can’t say any because I will give away too much of the story I enjoyed reading this story but this is not a spanking story I guess I come to expect a spanking story from Blushing Books I am giving this 5 stars because the book is great I just wish the author had added spanking to the text

First off this is not typical Blushing Book genre It is not a domestic discipline or spanking romance This is a murdermysterysuspense romance I loved the characters and interaction Julie Carter is a strong feisty red headed detective in the sexual crimes unit Her partner Drew is a friend she completely trust Her husband Aiden is her friend and someone she can share things with he also works for the police department Julie and Aiden each have secrets they protect for each other Scott Jordan another detective is her lovehate relationship with deep family ties This story covers lies deceit corruption and murder It is a page turner to find out who all is crooked and who is the good guys I love the dreams and details that Julie sees and how they come about to help spin the story

A Copy of this Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest ReviewThis is a first class read for anyone who loves Romance Murder Mysteries andor Detective Stories it has all of them and every character comes to life for you I loved the fact that the author does as I do myself the reader knows everything that the characters learn None of the nonsense like ‘When Hercule read the letter he knew who the murderer was’Everything is believable to the point that you may feel you have been reading a diary of actual events and the suspense as the crimes are solved is maintained to the last chapter The tale would make an excellent movieReview has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl OfficialFor information regarding our reviews please visit our Fansite wwwfacebookcomNerdGirlng
