I was pleasantly surprised how much I really liked Remy In my opinion he was a very complex character I admit, I didn t like him at all in Without Reservation He was a jerk almost all through the book but a handsome one of courselol and I hated the way he treated Keaton Luckily, we find out why Remi acts the way he did, and soon he became a character that was not only likeable, but someone who captured my heart The D s relationship between he and Jake surprised me, too But I have to say as much as I loved Remi, Sterling and Rhys stole the novel I can t wait to read their story Sterling is going to be such a handful Thanks again for the recommendations my friends

With Caution is the third installment in J L Langley s With or Without series Remington Lassiter, who was introduced in Without Reservations, is adjusting to his life as a werewolf and coming to terms with his attraction to Jake.Remi has endured severe abuse as a child at the hands of his father Even though Remi is now living on his own, his life is still very much controlled by his father When he discovers bruises on his younger brother, Sterling, Remi enlists Jake s help in finding a way to protect him During Jake s investigation of Remi s father, he discovers some very unsettling truths about Remi s childhood.Overall, I enjoyed this story It was well executed and there was a lot of suspense and mystery that made it difficult for me to stop reading A strong cast of supporting characters rounded out the story nicely Its weakness for me was the relationship between Jake and Remi They were very hot and sexy, like Chay and Keaton in Without Reservations and Lainey and Devlin in With Love, but there was no heat, no passion Remi s sweet and submissive behavior got tiring very quickly and the love scenes were lacking in emotion and intensity.Overall, a good read but not the best in the series.

I loved this book Remi definately goes through alot of change and character development He is not the same person we met in Without Reservation, but we learn what makes him tick, and act the way he does.He and Jake are definately made for one another I thought that the way they worked together as a team and even started their own pack, was great.Of course the sex is super hot too From what I understand Matt s story will be next, but personally I can t wait to read about Sterling Remi s brother I love this series and anxiously wait for the next one

NO CAUTION NEEDED I love this series, its super sexy, nose bleed sweet and just downright sinful I love these wolves who find their mates in the same sex, nothing says hot like two men falling in love Where the second book in the series was pretty much fluff, this one had a darker tone and a tough as nails alpha I wanna eat him up like some doggie chow I am excited and waiting impatiently for the next chapter in this deeply addictive series.THE RUNDOWN We met Remi in Without Reservations and he was a big douche, a homophobic Ahole so of course you are excited to see him end up with a guy, talk about irony for ya Well Remi was attacked and almost killed and he had to be turned into a wolf Lets say this came as a shock and now he is learning to control his wolfy feelings His wolfy feelings is giving him all kinds of activity in his pants when it comes to dark and handsome Jake, but he can t be gay, never having feelings for a man before its kind of freaking him out Well things aren t as they seem, Remi has a past he can t remember and a father who just might end up killing him Its his love for Jake that will unlock secrets and make his face his fears.Remi Is such a sweet character but he hides behind this tough as nails fa ade He lives to protect the one person dearest to his and that s his brother Sterling, to protect someone from the person who should love you most can be tiring Remi has to come to terms with having feelings for Jake because he has been taught all his life that liking men is bad, but he can t help wanting to sink his teeth into Jake a man he is becoming to trust with his life and one who stolen his heart.Jake He knows Remi is his mate but he doesn t want to scare him by unleashing all his passion, plus he is sure that Remi is not gay Well he has his doubts because when he touches him Remi all but melts in his arms The relationship is proving difficult when an unwelcome part keeps causing problems for them When Jake is hired by Remi to bring someone down, the truths leads to a shocking revelation and proves why Remi is the way he is Jake is all man and he is a bit of a Dom and it just works for him, plus he is the ultimate alpha male, all protective and sexy.PLOT Its basically a love story with some angst, Remi has some family issues that need ton be dealth with There is also a bit of mystery, Remi has some unsettling memories and they come back to haunt him Plus Remi finds out how he fits into the pack, when out of nowhere everyone wants him.FEELINGS Love this series so much, this book was super sweet and sexy The sex was hot and I love Remi and Jake together There is a Dom sub type thing to their relarionship but it does not overshadow all that is sexy about this book Can I say how much I love Remi, he annoyed me when we met him in the previous book, but you come to understand why and you can t blame him Jake is perfect for him, and they are perfect together Plus we get a sneak peek of Sterling and Rhys and I am feckin excited for their book I love this series.

Someone will die eeeee Nope, it s not that obviousAnd to be exact two, not one, characters will die And leaving the teasing aside let s get to the point I LOVED THIS BOOK And to explain each main character in a fun way let me use illustrations I loooooooove emoticon Jake Poor guy well you will see him in the second book Keaton s bodyguard he is preoccupy, because Remi is his mate and seems an homophobic Well, read it and you will see I just warn that he is a hell of a Dom YEY I love when someone show how strong he is do not think something like hitting everyone, but only a good Dom Sub relationship Love him, and is perfect as a main character.Remi The calm one he, regardless all the shit in his life, is so damn calm OMG how could him With an abusive father and such crazy brother Sterling AND OMG soooo submissive Perfect to someone like Jake I love him that s it leave him alone, HE IS MIIIIINNEEEE Remi is my favorite character Sterling Too much active Imagine a little Chihuahua after 200 coffee cups well, Sterling is worst much hyperactive He is Remi little brother but to Remi he is almost his son With an absent mother, and an abusive father Sterling is so happy Impressive Is really impressive and I ADORE him Can t wait to read his book Without Fear He will be the main character YEY Rhys Ohhhhh a bad ass HE IS Soooooo cooool This new character of the serie get my attention after his first description Soooo cool And dangerous Dirk He worst possible villain you can imagine You will hate him so much And that s perfect It s just the sign of how great this book is A book need romance, but must be also some angst and drama this book have everything, in the right dose If the second I didn t give than 3 stars too much sex, in little plot in my view this book NO This story deserve 5 stars and now I can t wait to read

  6. DF DF says:

It started of as a sure 4 Star read, however by the end it was way too much like Book 1And yeah, ok Jake was damn hot, too

  7. Fonzie Fonzie says:

I did try to suspend all disbelief, as I already know this writer And if you have read from writers like Josh Lanyon or Joely Skye you ll realize Langley s style leaves much to be desired Either way, I needed some light reading and I decided to give this series one chance I really shouldn t have.Let s put aside the fact that omega wolves usually only existing in wolf packs living in captivity are the runts and rejects of the pack They are treated badly, and they usually die early from abuse not remotely as described in this book I really shouldn t be surprised that the writer bent were wolf lore so out of shape it looks like Celtic knot work. What finally made me put down the book was the whole claiming ceremony , that consisted of Jake doing Remi right in front of the wolf pack, who watched on without batting an eyelash It wasn t hot It was downright creepy and gross. In light of this the fact that Langley has stuffed her book with a dozen new characters without fleshing them out is dwarfed But yes, there are a handful of new characters without personality or any real distinguishing features just so view spoiler there will be enough people for Jake and Remi to have their own pack hide spoiler

  8. Vivian Vivian says:

Diverting read Enjoyed all the characters, certainly the strong suit of the story Found Remi s amazing abilities sexual not were somewhat unrealistic and the constant use of purring during moments of desire really was a major disconnect for a werewolf book.

  9. Christy Christy says:

Oh J.L Langley is on a serious roll with this series I adored this second book and, in fact, it s my favorite of them so far The writing was just as good The plot, the dialogue, etc were all fantastic I think I fell for this book because of the two main characters.I ll admit I didn t like Remi a whole lot when he was first introduced in the prior book He came across as a homophobic, arrogant little snot He was verbally cruel to Keaton and I didn t care for him I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt mainly because I figured if Chay was his best friend and had been for all those years then there must be redeeming qualities to him I m so glad I was right I fell in love with Remi All the abuse and fear he s lived with his entire life broke my heart I could understand the walls he puts up to protect himself and, importantly, from letting anyone ever know in order to protect his little brother, Sterling On a side note I am crazy about Sterling and can t wait to read his story Remi is vulnerable but definitely NOT weak.I mentioned in my review of book one that Jake is hot, hot, and hot Well, I had no idea how incredibly smoking he was OMG He s got it all, literally Looks, body, job, SUV and Hog, personality, sense of humor oh I could go on and on But what s even better about Jake is that he s a Dominant Oh yeah, baby He s hesitant to let Remi know this, though, because he doesn t want to traumatize him after his years of abuse But, then something miraculous and amazing occurs and, no, I can t say because that would be a spoiler and Remi s world changes again Even so than when he was changed into a wolf And this big occurrence affects Jake and his friends, too So, we ve got major things going on yes, I know, you just want me to say and I m not gonna , and on top of all of that Jake and his partner are beginning to investigate Remi and Sterling s dad And let me tell you the dad is a real piece of work Everything you associate with small minded, bigoted, child and spouse abusers He s just Meh.So, for obvious reasons, I can t give away the ending HA Just trust me on this you want to read this book You need to read this book You won t regret reading this book.

3.5 starsA friend said that this book was darker than the previous two I tend to agree with her With Remi s abusive father looming over his behavior and forces him to push his own sexuality into the closet, especially with a tragedy in his youth , this presents a serious problem than simply just soul mate among werewolves I like how Jake takes his time to let Remi gets used to being a werewolf and not pushing the mate issue to him If I have a complaint, it will be that I feel the acceptance of Remi as gay is a bit lacking He comes as homophobic in the previous book Then, I find out that his past is complicated with what happens to his first boy lover However, his accepting that Jake is his mate and that he is always been gay is a bit pushed into the background of other issues including Remi being an omega and the D s nature of his relationship with Jake I would love to see it explored But then again, maybe accepting his sexuality is easier when Remi is turned into a werewolf shruggs I have to say that the scene stealer is Remi s brother, Sterling, though That motormouth just shines in every scenes he is in I cannot wait to see him reaching a legal age and drives Rhys crazy.
