I was so excited to receive this book at Yallfest It starts off at the beginning with a spy covering for another spy Chaos ensues Then you meet the main characters You learn a bit about the magic system Then then author does some straight up George R R Martin You re like whoa Then it becomes a story of revenge It was very thrilling and exciting then moved into a slow burn It was almost as if you re reading the sequel to the book you originally started All you want is to see the MC performing her magic or just adventuring or something A lot of down time When it finally gets going again, there isn t much book left I also predicted the entire thing back around George time I still enjoyed it I liked the world and magic system I did start another book in the middle of it I felt like if I didn t do something, I might fall into a slump My tbr is too big for that shit I would read a sequel.
