Received an ARC at no cost to author..This book was not what I wanted, regret to have asked for it..I did not like Cassie at all, only thing I appreciated from her was that she was raising her niece, she didn t have to but she did..I also never really like when people get into sexual relationship with someone their brother sister had one with, that just grosses me out Will waslikeable to me than Cassie, but it is what it is.

This was much better than the standard billionaire romance because it avoided the standard clich s The billionaire in question, Will Connelly, isn t a heartless guy who lusts for a woman and then falls in love That seems to be the basic plot of so many of these romances Instead he s just a guy who has been informed that he has a 13 year old daughter that he never knew about She s being raised by her aunt Cassie who discovered some pictures after her sister died that lead her to think that Wi This was much better than the standard billionaire romance because it avoided the standard clich s The billionaire in question, Will Connelly, isn t a heartless guy who lusts for a woman and then falls in love That seems to be the basic plot of so many of these romances Instead he s just a guy who has been informed that he has a 13 year old daughter that he never knew about She s being raised by her aunt Cassie who discovered some pictures after her sister died that lead her to think that Will might be her niece s father She reaches out to him without knowing anything about him I found that a bit difficult to believe in this age of Google All she cares about is providing her niece with another adult to care about her She doesn t want money even though she s barely making it as she runs a diner in an upstate New York town Once Will determines that Emily is indeed his daughter, he moves temporarily to that town to get to know her and to figure out the best way to make Emily and Cassidy and himself into a family that can love and support Emily Sure he thinks that it would be best for Cassidy to sell her diner that she doesn t even like and move to New York City where Emily can go to a better school But given Cassidy s economic situation that doesn t seem so arrogant Cassidy will do anything for her niece and she doesn t feel comfortable imagining a forever romance with someone so different from her She thinks ahead to what Emily will think of her in the future and what her life would be like if she allows herself to turn into Will s pensioner and casual fling While they are a very unlikely pairing, I was interested to find out how they resolve the conflict and thoroughly enjoyed the slow revealing of their true characters These are two good people who want to make the right decision to help a 13 year old grow up to be the fine person she seems set to become Their focus was basically unselfish and loving which made their romance seem muchbelievable since they both cared to do the best thing.I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
