You would never believe how people In real life, of course reacted when I told them about the concept of this book They were all like That s disgusting, How can you read something like that and horrible comments that are not worth mentioning Close minded much I didn t expect them to be understanding but trash talking is just mean Will prejudice against homosexuals ever end It s sad In case you were wondering, I live in Iran Possible Spoilers People s nasty comments aside, I loved this book As I already said, it was my first M M read and it was surprisingly good Characters were just lovely I adored how protective Ethan felt toward Jamie When they got together in less than 100 pages, I started to think the rest of the book would be boring seeing as they were already together, but I soon realized my assumptions were absolutely wrong.Their sweet love brought tears to my eyes a few times Love scenes were initially kinda strange, but I eventually got used to them In my opinion, M M M F or F F are equally beautiful when there s love involved Spoilers One of my favorite scenes would be the one with wedding bands I loved the inscription of Ethan s ring It was so beautiful I love you, Cowboy Forever your Blue Eyes wipes away tears Oh, and the part where Jamie tattooed Property of Ethan Whitehall on his you know was hilarious. My thoughts on Jamie s siblings John If his reaction to Ethan and Jamie s relationship is any indication, He is really awesome.Jules So cute She never failed to make me smile I really liked her.Woah, this is my longest review yet Please excuse my bad or horrible English.

PLOWING FEILDS ISN T THE ONLY THING THESE GUYS DO More of my reviews and thoughts on my blog PANTS OFF REVIEWSSo you know I am a huge fan of J.L Langley, her books are all kinds of awesome While this one not being my fave, it still manages to give me butterflies in the tummy Its deeply sexual and emotionally rich and I enjoyed it.Jamie Killian decides he is going to be bold and come out to his father and brother, he never expected it to go down the way it did With his dad throwing him out the house and all but disowning him So with no where to go and feeling helpless, Jamie regrets his decision and it is pretty clear that he just effed up his life Jamie is sincere though, he never wanted to hide from who is, though the outcome was bad he feels lighter. In this town of cowboys and tractors being gay is not something to be telling the folks about It s all manly men that ranch and ride horses y all Nobody knows that better than Ethan Whitehall When he gets a call from his best friend who is saying that his younger brother just got kicked off the ranch, instantly he is sympathetic and he offers a little help that comes in the form of a job and a place to live Well Jamie wants no charity, but he does convince him that his help is required and then begins the relationship Well Ethan has known Jamie pretty much all is life, and the annoying boy who use to follow him around is gone, a strikingly sexy man is now in his place and he cannot deny his attraction to the boy pffft man.Jamie has always wanted Ethan and his wish seems to be coming true, when a lustful kiss leads to other things by things I mean cock in, oh am I saying too much Things don t remain peachy for the guys, the whole town suspects their relationship and possibly might be trying to kill them Run in with store clerks, ranch hands and bullets is telling them all they need to know, homosexuality is not welcomed.Everyone isn t so bad, there are a few who have known the guys and wont let a thing like sexuality push them to disown their friends The worst of the bunch is Jamie s dad, he is so vile and assholish, I wanted to stick a pitch fork up that extreme tight ass of his What a prick Overall did enjoy this book, Jaime and Ethan are a dream, to sexy guys getting it on is my idea of a perfect day The sex was hot and the relationship dynamic between EJ was super hot I love the whole cowboy lifting hay, riding horses and rounding up cattle to be extremely sexy plus they are gay, that s alright in my book A solid 3.5 on the PL scale.

I can t read this book any longer I don t know if it would improve, but after reading 90 pages and just wanting to put it down the entire time, I m tapping out I don t know what my problem is because so many of my GR friends love this story Something about the author s style just didn t work for me It was all too tell y and not show y enough, there were too many exclamation marks for my liking, and the writing style just felt too young for the subject matter I didn t like the characters they didn t feel real to me and the story line felt really choppy It just didn t jive with my tastes I think I m going to steer clear of this author in the future.

This was a sweet read, with the right amount of angst not too much, thankfully to prevent it from being completely unrealistic.Dark haired, blue eyed, 21 year old cowboy Jamie Killian is tired of hiding his sexuality and decides to tell his father he s gay Unexpectedly to Jamie , his father not only gets the shock of his life but throws him out of the house Confused and hurt, Jamie is pondering what to do next when Ethan Whitehall, his older brother John s best friend, offers him a place to stay and a job in his ranch, the Tin Star Naturally, something is bound to happen between Jamie and Ethan soon enough because, unbeknownst to everyone but John and Julia John and Jamie s sister , Ethan is gay too A very closeted one, but gay nevertheless At first, Ethan is wary of getting involved with Jamie, but there s no resisting the young man s charms However, not everyone in town is happy with having an openly gay man around Will Ethan come out of the closet and stand beside Jamie against the town s bigots Will they be able to find their HEA in their hometown Or will they have to leave and find it somewhere else I loved strong, protective and no nonsense Ethan I adored headstrong, impulsive and fun loving Jamie They were so sweet together Not even the slightly big age gap between them Ethan is 11 years older than Jamie bothered me, because they fit each other Clich , I know, but still true There was little conflict in their relationship, which doesn t mean that there was no conflict in the story Those were caused by other people, namely Jamie s father and some of the town s homophobic troublemakers. As for the plot, it had some holes Some were easy to forgive and ignore, as I m prone to do when I love the characters in the story, but there was one that bugged me big time view spoiler When Jamie was born, his brother John was 11 years old and his sister Julia was 9 years old I can t believe they didn t know Jamie wasn t their mother s son How did they fail to notice that she was never pregnant in the months before Jamie s sudden delivery If John and Julia had been younger, I could have bought that, but there s no way a 11 year old and a 9 year old were that gullible hide spoiler

4 StarsThis is the story of how Blue Eyes got his Cowboy aka the story of how Jamie and Ethan fell in love happy sigh When Jamie Killian comes out to his father and gets kicked off his family s ranch, he finds refuge at the Tin Star, another ranch nearby, owned and run by Jamie s brother s best friend, Ethan Whitehall Ethan doesn t think twice about offering Jamie a job and a roof over his head He s known Jamie his whole life, and even though Ethan never suspected the younger man to be gay like he himself is , he knows Jamie s a good man and a hard worker, and he definitely knows Jamie doesn t deserve the appalling treatment he now faces from his homophobic father along with other bigoted assholes around town Sparks begin to fly immediately, once Jamie realises quickly that the man he s always considered out of his reach is actually within the realm of possibilities than he could have ever imagined or dared hope for Jamie and Ethan s love story kicks off quickly, with the two getting together and falling into a relationship very early on in the story, but I was never bored by the fact I simply enjoyed their relationship and all the interactions they shared with many of the other likeable secondary characters throughout the story They built a life together, with their own kind of family, on the Tin Star They also had to continually face down prejudices and even threats and eventually acts of violence that jeopardised their hard fought happiness This story featured a bunch of my favourite romance tropes, including Best friend s brother brother s best friend A gay virgin Two tasty cowboys getting it on Friends to lovers COWBOYS it bears repeating twice Men with pets Spot, the hat stealing horse, and Fred rica , the Christmas tree decorating dog, were ADORABLE Basically, I had a lot of fun with this one and I look forward to exploring from this author s backlog.

3 Stars This was a nice read I liked it, but nothing really jumped out and wowed me It had a good helping of steam with an easy, no angst story Ethan and Jamie s relationship was a little too insta and fast for my tastes, but managed to come off believable They complimented each other well and really wanted to build a home and life together There was an ease and comfort in their relationship that was really sweet The suspense element was weak, and Jamie s dad s behavior felt a little over dramatized with the hate Especially since we didn t have much reflection on what their relationship was like before Jamie came out There were snippets dropped here and there, but no clear picture on what was a supposedly strained relationship already After everything that happened, I wish the author would have provided some closure on where things stand I m still left with too many questions BUT, I think the biggest thing I ll take away from this book is the sheer volume of exclamation points HOLY HELL They Were Everywhere Exclamation points are supposed to be used to convey emotion and it looks like these folks were going for the Academy Award. The author set up the next book for the sheriff, which I m definitely intrigued about, so looks like I ll be continuing on with this series Exclamation points and all

Ethan is a rancher at the Tin Star takes in Jamie his friend John s younger brother when he is kicked out of his house after he tells his father is he gay Jamie has had a crush on Ethan all his life but never acted on it because Ethan is straight Right Ok of course the romantic connection between Ethan and Jamie becomes intense You keep turning the page to find out the next scene.JL Langley uses every emotion to keep you engaged in the story Humor, sadness, heated passion, love, and all around good story telling This is definately another favorite and well worth reading if your a fan of cowboys in love JL Langley has a way of blending humor, sexuality, love, and hate into a seamless tale of romance There wasn t a time throughoutthat I wasn t either thinking awww that is so sweet , too funny that s not right or Ooooo Wee This was an easy read that leaves you feeling satisfied at the end.

Unlike this book i will keep my words short This book had way too much pointless information it just went on and on about nothing If you cut out half the descriptive details and pointless shopping trips this would have been a great read I hope i never read the words daddy, Blue eyes and My Cowboy again Overall I did like it but i feel no connection to the M C s i didn t even care when Ethan got shot I didn t care when Blue Eyes got poisoned and I didn t care about there city council membersMy favorite character was Fred, the dog the only time i cared about a character was when Jackass number 1 hit Fred with the pipe, I felt so bad for Fred and wish Jackass would have gotten beat up or something ETA I ranted a little than i planed on so I guess I did go on and on just like the book

I m so glad I got the chance to read this one Kicking myself for not buying everything J.L Langley had on offer at LooseID while I had the chance can only hope she rereleases this one like she s doing with the Englor Regelence books.I could definitely see how the author has evolved since 2006 The Tin Star still has all the wonderful characters but the mystery part of this one isn t as intense as the SciRegency romance series Nevertheless, I recommend it for the marvelous romance novel it is
